Welcome to the homepage of the Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai. The Consulate’s activities cover the municipality of Shanghai, as well as Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces: a dynamically developing region of China with 200million population, that provides almost one fourth of the country’s GDP and about one third of China’s export. Part of the territory is also known as the Yangzi River Delta, which is one of the main locomotives of China’s impressive economic development.

The Consulate General was established in 2004, and it acts as a bridge between Hungary and the wider region of Shanghai. The main goal of the activities of our mission is to promote Chinese-Hungarian business, tourism, education and cultural cooperation.
